Sir,

I have the honour to forward certificate of insanity of a patient admitted to the Government Civil Hospital on the 8th instant, named Marie Gausce, native of Cormany. I have had to engage an extra attendant for her, European nurse, at $40 per mensem as she requires watching night and day.

I enclose a letter concerning her from the Rev. Mr Lechter of the Basel Mission who sent her to Hospital. I think that the German Consul should be responsible for the expenses of this case.
